How is your sleep, are you waking between 1-3 am? Are you able to fall asleep and stay asleep? In this module we will share why this may be the case! We will also talk about the role of caffeine such as caffeine half-lives and bedtime rituals. We’ll explore your caffeine routine, how caffeine half-lives are impacting your adrenal health as well as your sleep patterns and we’ll give you several effective tips we’ve learned along the way that you can implement into your own bedtime routine for better sleep.


MODULE 03
What Doctors Won’t Tell you About Your Hormones and Adrenals
We want you to walk away from the program really understanding your adrenals and physiology. We have found that with a clear understanding of what is going on underneath, the ladies in our groups have more motivation and desire to do what is best for themselves daily. During week 3, we’ll explain how adrenal health is related to the rest of your body. We will cover adrenal physiology, HPA/HPO axis and related hormones such as insulin and the different stages of adrenal dysfunction.

Although PMS may be common, we believe that it is not “normal”. Let’s dig into PMS and what your body is actually trying to tell you. Along with PMS, PCOS is also something that many of our ladies area dealing with, we will help you understand if that is you and what to do about it.

MODULE 05
How to Eat Healthy Without Guilt, Punishment or Shame
In this module we are going to share how to get optimal hormone health nutrients without hours of meal prep. We have also noticed that there is even more confusion about WHEN to eat (and how this is different for women than men!). And when it comes to food, being able to decode labels at a grocery store is a great tool to have in your toolbox.

Learn how to finally enjoy going out to restaurants and being a guest at someone’s house without derailing your health efforts. In addition to navigating meals out, in module 6 we will be discussing why regular bowel movements are incredibly important for hormone health!! Releasing Weight without Deprivation.
Adrenal and hormonal imbalances can be big contributors to weight fluctuations, so in week 7 we will dive into why that is and how working on adrenal health can get you back to your ideal weight. Aloha! My name is Katie, and I’ve been a Certified Holistic Health Coach and Prana Flow Yoga teacher since 2010.
But my REAL journey learning about health and wellness started when I was a teenager, and my mom was diagnosed with MS. I learned how the power with which we nurture ourselves through food, lifestyle and mindset can have profound effects on how we show up in the world.
Lucky for me, when I was told I had PCOS, I already had tools to work with to manage my health.

FAQ
I keep falling off the wagon with my food and lifestyle changes. What makes the members of the Healthy Hormones group program and all of the testimonials I’ve seen so successful?
#1. Addressing Your Beliefs & Brain Chemistry
We offer a unique approach to health that discovers not only what may be holding your back physically (hello imbalanced neurotransmitters) but also how your daily thoughts and beliefs play a role in your actions and habits. The signals being sent from the brain are often overlooked in hormone health programs. This is why many women we work with have been on adrenal health supplements for years, yet they only see improvements as long as they keep taking the supplements. You can’t out-supplement a signal from the brain!
Many of the women we work with know exactly what to do for their health, but they have too much brain fog, fatigue or PMS to follow through. And then over time they have started to lack confidence in their ability to stick to programs and habits. We help shift your physiology to slow the addictive habits, improve energy and clear your mind. And then we use this extra clarity to dig in deeper to the loop of disempowering beliefs they may be operating on without even knowing it!

Test, don’t guess! We have seen so many women with completely different symptoms and the same underlying imbalances. OR we also may have 2 group members with headaches or acne that have a very different cause! Using functional lab work can give you a baseline and an understanding of where you are so that you can program is where you want to go. What if I am not ready? When will you be running this program again?
We want to start by asking, when WILL you be ready? Do you have a specific set of guidelines that will tell you when you are ready? If you don’t know, how long have you been saying “I will start later” and putting off your health?
This is our LAST round of Healthy Hormones and if you are committed but have something specific that interferes with this current group, we will be offering our Health Transformation Accelerator in November.
Are Lab Fees and supplement costs included? How much do I need to budget?
No. Lab fees and supplements are not included in the program cost. These fees are paid directly to the labs. Currently the DUTCH hormone panel is $250 (we extend our practitioner discount to our ladies! This is around $150 less than you will find on directlabs.com) and the neurotransmitter panel is $239. Supplement costs vary depending on your lab results. Some insurance companies or health savings accounts will help with the cost of the testing but it is up to each group member to explore that with their insurance and request reimbursement.
Is Facebook required to join?
Facebook is not required to join. BUT we do feel that the Facebook group is an amazing resource and that having a group to lean on, relate to and share with can be really instrumental in the hormone balancing process. One of the most common comments we hear about the group is “I was just so relieved to know that I am not alone. Other people have the same complaints and are on the same journey”. We’ve even had a couple people create a new account or borrow a friend’s account in order to get all those benefits! We also suggest searching for a plugin called “Kills Newsfeed” that allows you to be in FB groups but hides the feed for you so that you don’t get sucked into hours of scrolling on Facebook!
I am busy. How much time do I need to dedicate to the group?
We get it! We are all busy. We created this program with ourselves in mind while Megan was pregnant and also had a 4 year old running around and while Dr. Alex was in residency. Watching the weekly modules may only take 20 mins up to a couple of hours while the weekly live calls are 60-90 minutes (and yes you can watch the replay). But the real time needed is going to be in taking action on what you learned. Some tasks are simple and require the click of a button to get a new tea, while others require time and space to contemplate how to rearrange things in your life. Overall, the goal of the program is for you to have MORE time to yourself, and less time doing stuff that doesn’t matter! So, who knows, maybe you will end up being less busy by the end!
What can I expect when I enroll in the Healthy Hormones group program?
#1. After you sign up, you will receive an email that allows you to order your own DUTCH and neurotransmitter test. You will follow the instructions to self-order and pay the lab fees directly to the lab ($250 for DUTCH and $239 for Neurogistics)
#2. Complete your tests from the comfort of your home (just pee on a strip!) and mail back to the lab. (Please see FAQ for state specific guidelines such as NY, RI, MD and outside of the US and Canada)
#3. Fill out the intake forms and return to us.
#4. And this is when the real work starts! Every week we will be addressing, questioning and tweaking a different area of your life for optimal hormone health. Watch weekly videos, participate in weekly calls, buddy up with a partner to hold each other accountable.
#5. Once we have received both labs and your intake form you will get a detailed personal video from us explaining how to understand your results. You will then have a 30 minute 1-on-1 follow up session with our coach Katie to ask any questions! Get access to 20+ videos on how to interpret your own tests in the future. We want you to not only have a plan for right now, but be empowered to self test in the future to see how you are doing.
#6.Continuously upgrade different areas of your life and watch the magic of the upward spiral.
What if I live in NY, MD, RI or outside of the US?
Neurogistics (neurotransmitter test) is not permitted to send test kits or receive samples to or from consumers in the states of New York, and Maryland due to regulations in these states. If you have an alternate address or location in a nearby state that you can receive, perform and return the kit, then you can still perform this test. Precision Analytical’s Dutch Test Kits (hormone test) is not permitted to receive samples from consumers in the states of New York, Maryland, and Rhode Island. If you have an alternate location in a nearby state, then you can perform the test and return the kit.
Even though we would love to work with clients all over the world, we have had trouble in the past with lab work and supplements when working with clients outside of the U.S. You are welcome to join the program but must understand that the lab work and supplement part of the program might not be available to you. Please be aware that although the labs might offer kits to your country (with extra shipping fees), you may still have a problem with the kit being retained at customs. In this case the lost cost of shipping or the lab fee is your responsibility. Purchasing supplements sometimes might also be difficult depending on your location and your country’s regulations on shipping. Please contact us for specifics of your situation.
My partner thinks we can’t afford this. What can I do?
We have lots to say on this because we’ve both dealt with this.. It helps to think about this situation in 2 ways: from a practical standpoint and from a contextual one.
In a practical way, discussing with your significant other areas where you can cut back (less eating out, fewer Starbucks runs, canceling unneeded subscriptions) and how to make more income (babysitting, trading services in your community) can all go a long way in helping offset costs.
But more importantly, talking about the context of spending this amount of money can go a long way. Think about all of the money you’ve spent on supplements that didn’t work, doctors visits/labs that didn’t help, and books you’ve started to read but never finished. If you’re anything like us, you’ve probably spent THOUSANDS of dollars with the trial-and-error approach. It’s time to approach the problem systematically and with a plan! Also we have monthly payment plans to break it up for you (All payments must be made for you to continue to have lifetime access to the program.)
What is the guarantee / refund policy?
What if when I test my hormones and neurotransmitters there is nothing imbalanced? We are willing to make the guarantee that if we don’t find one meaningful imbalance on your labs, we’ll give you a full refund of the program.
Otherwise, refunds will be considered on a case-by-case basis within 30 days of purchase and before you receive your customized protocol. Refunds will be considered for Action Takers only, meaning that you watched the videos, participated in the Facebook group and attended the live calls and still did not feel that the program was a good fit.
What if I am on a medication such as an SSRI, can I still test my neurotransmitters?
Yes you can! Testing can be done while on all medications and we ask that you don’t change anything up without working with your doctor. The powerful thing about neurotransmitter testing is that what is happening can be easily extrapolated in relation to what you are taking. For example, if your serotonin is low while on an SSRI, then we know that it would be even lower without!
What if I am on birth control?
That’s no problem! We will be able to see exactly how your body is responding to your current form of birth control (hormones and neurotransmitters) and you can decide if it is working well for you!
For those of you hoping to transition off of your birth control, we are excited that you are looking into doing this work! Supporting the body upfront can allow you to transition off supplemental hormones more gracefully and without a bunch of symptoms.
I am pregnant or breastfeeding, can I still join?
We do not suggest testing your hormones during pregnancy. If you are breastfeeding, we suggest waiting to test your hormone levels until after 6 months postpartum (after getting cleared by your doctor!) and we can help you make the appropriate changes.
What if I have digestion issues, can this still help me?
Yes absolutely. But it’s a little tricky! Here’s the catch-22: it’s hard to fix your gut unless you’ve worked on your hormones & adrenals…but you can’t completely restore adrenal health until the gut issues have been resolved. Arg! That’s not helpful. Stay with us though! We choose to do things in a way that sets us up for success as much as possible.
What we have found to be the most successful while working with women is to address adrenal and hormonal health FIRST. While things may not fully improve until the gut has also been healed, trying to heal the gut while the adrenals are completely overloaded and dysfunctional leads to much worse outcomes and failed treatments. A common scenario is having gut infections return soon after someone completes an herbal or antibiotic protocol because they don’t have the reserve to keep the infection away on their own.
Many of our graduates find that they already see drastic improvements in how they feel on a daily basis just after implementing a hormone balancing protocol…and all that hard work that they put into their hormones helps them address gut issues faster and in a more permanent way down the road. We have a gut health coach as a part of our team that you can choose to work with, if needed ,after graduating from the Healthy Hormones Group Program.
Is there any support available if I have questions or get stuck?
Yes! We are here for you. As a group member of Healthy Hormones there are multiple ways to get support and feedback.
