I’ve recently gotten inspired to share the Liver Detox Pathway Support drink that I’ve been enjoying for the past couple months by seeing what Megan Rand has been recommending with her Adrenal Cocktail Drink.  (If you’re not following her on Instagram, you definitely should be!)  If there’s a delicious way to boost my health, I’m all over it.  And this drink absolutely fits the bill.

All of the ingredients in this drink help to support phase I and II detoxification pathways.  These pathways work to bind, deactivate, and process the toxins that come into the liver and get them out of the body safely.  (I’ll discuss the details of detoxification in future video posts!)

Instead of some crazy detox strategy that involves spending a lot of time in the bathroom (um, #aintnobodygottimeforthat?), this drink combines herbs and remedies that support the functions that your body is already really good at…they’re just overwhelmed by the incredible amount of substances we’re all exposed to in our daily, modern lives. (Some preliminary thoughts on the subject can be found here.)

Ingredients:

Steps:

1. Combine all the ingredients into a glass jar and mix well to combine.

2. If you’d prefer, combine all the ingredients into a blender with ice and blend well into a ice-cold drink.
