We recently had the pleasure of sharing one of our articles with an awesome new magazine that recently came out: Zenzista.

It was created by our good friends Cameron and Kaley. (We’ve talked about how much Cameron has helped us with our health and life journeys before.  If you’re feeling beat up by life, we both highly recommend her  She’s been a lifesaver for us!)

Zenzista is a lifestyle & wellness blog that shares simple ways to balance health, spirituality, and fun. Consider it your guide to living a healthier, more joyful life!

Here’s the article getting started:

“Whether you call it the Universe, Spirit, God, or leave it nameless, many of us believe in some sort of higher power that bring some orderliness to our lives and health.

But many of us have also had plenty of negative health experiences that make us question if we’re actually alone in this regard.

How many of us have asked that same higher power for help with an illness? Or to have it be alleviated? Or have it manifest in a more tolerable way?

We’d guess quite a bit of us.

Unfortunately, many of us didn’t wake up miraculously healed the next day…or the one after that. In fact, you might have woken up the next day to MORE pain and MORE symptoms.

Disillusion

When this happens to you time and time again, it can get really easy to get disheartened. It’s easy to start to question if we really are all alone in our health struggles and if anyone actually gives a crap.

“Why??” we scream out into the universe…and crickets.

The question of how much our desires are heard by a higher power is an interesting one in general. In a world where The Secret, Manifesting, and neo-witchcraft-ness is so in vogue (not that any of these are bad, at all!), it’s easy to see our desires and our greatest wants–especially for physical health–as a takeout menu of thing we “order”…and expect to receive.

But is there more to the story? And may we be more supported than we can see?”
