With the holidays around the corner, I’ve been compiling my own list of things I’m requesting this year. I decided to share this years (and some of last year’s!) list since I figured a lot of you might be looking for similar natural lifestyle products! With Black Friday, the season of coupons, and sales coming up, you can find these products at abnormally low prices…and that’s always a pretty sweet deal.
In this list, I included things for the home, things that can help with natural movement/alignment, and gadgets for the kitchen that can make life a little easier on a regular basis.
#1. Dehydrator
I got this last year and have been sort of obsessed with it. I’ve had fun making my own beef jerky (and liver jerky!), zucchini chips, and a whole bunch of dried fruit at the end of the summer to store for later. I think this one is really easy to use and it has worked every time for me.
By now, most of us natural lifestyle junkies have heard that blue light exposure will hinder melatonin production at night, making it harder for us to fall asleep and rest more soundly. Lighting your home in more natural light sources like salt lamps can set the mood for bed a little bit better and can help you clean up your environment in the process. While you’re add it, get them a bundle with some Uvex Blue Light Blocking Glasses and some beeswax candles
.
If the natural lifestyle junkie in your life is also into lifting some heavy things every now and again, they’re probably going to get pretty nerdy over getting a kettlebell for the holidays (have fun getting that bad boy into the stocking). I find the kettlebell to be one of the most versatile and most effective pieces of workout equipment…and compared to other pieces of equipment, is relatively inexpensive and doesn’t take up much space.
Alignment folks are all about myofascial and trigger point release since it’s pretty commonly accepted that most of us are much too tight from constant sitting and not enough movement! A massage stick makes for a great small gift for anyone interested in limbering up…it’s a fantastic thing to do while you chill out at the end of the day.
#5. Ceramic Aromatherapy Diffuser / Air Humidifier
I’ve been coveting this thing for a few years now and it’s up at the top of my list this year. I’ve been using this portable Aromatherapy Diffuser for a while and even though it works, I’ve wanted something that has a little more oomph. And since I also have a humidifier I use in my bedroom each night, the thought of having both in one product sounded pretty sweet!
#6. Pull-up Bar
The word on the alignment street these days is that a big component of poor posture is a weak and immobile shoulder girdle…juicy, right?? So hanging and working on getting some pull-up strength going has become a popular thing to do on a regular basis…and I think this is a wonderful thing! We have a doorway pull up bar where I can work on building up that strength (I like it because I can hang each time I walk through it!). You could get way cooler and go outside to hang on a tree for free…but not all of us have the access to nature quite as much as we want.
#7. Mega Blender
I love having an amazing blender on hand for making veggie smoothies (aka: a blended salad), pureed soups, homemade nut butters and nut milks. The more expensive ones are a little bit more of strain on the pocketbook initially but I blieve their longevity makes up for that cash you shell out at first.
#8. BOSU Ball
A BOSU ball can majorly up anyone’s alignment and natural movement game…I’ve used it for my at-home work stations in a number of ways and my very favorite way to use it is in a supported deep squat. I also love using it as a stretching aid for my spine and for working on core/back strength.
So there you have it, that’s my list! What would you add to it? What’s on your natural lifestyle junkie wish list?
XOXO,
